This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

Information collected automatically
- Device and technical data. Device type and model, operating system and app version, language, and crash and diagnostic logs.
- Usage data. Features used and general interaction patterns, used to operate and improve the Service.
- Approximate location. Coarse location derived from your IP address (for example, country) to localize content. We do not collect precise GPS location unless you separately grant that permission.
- Push notification tokens. A device token used to deliver notifications you have enabled.
Website analytics. Our website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking on konastat.com.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to: operate and maintain the Service; authenticate you and secure your account; deliver live scores, statistics, fantasy scoring, and social features; personalize content and recommendations; send service and (where permitted) product communications; provide customer support; detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents; comply with legal obligations; and analyze and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal information on these legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you request); legitimate interests (to secure, analyze, and improve the Service, balanced against your rights); consent (for optional notifications and any optional features that request it, which you may withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (to comply with applicable law).
4. How we share information
- Service providers / processors. Hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare; Microsoft Azure), authentication (Google / Firebase), and infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf under contract.
- App stores. Apple App Store and Google Play, in connection with distribution, purchases, and crash reporting.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of KonaStat, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
Sports data providers. Scores, fixtures, player metrics, and related sports data are sourced from third-party providers, including Highlightly, ESPN, LiveScoreApi, and SportsDb. These providers supply sports data to us; we do not share your personal account information with them.
5. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers of personal information.
6. Data retention
We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We retain certain information longer where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export (portability), restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. You can:
- Update your profile and notification settings in the app.
- Request access to or deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing [email protected] from your account email.
- Disable push notifications in your device settings.
We will respond consistent with applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA). California residents have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale”/“sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise your rights, contact us at the address below.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age required by your local law to consent to online services (for example, 13 in the United States, or the applicable age in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control
Because we do not use cross-site advertising tracking, our practices are unaffected by “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals; we nonetheless honor the applicable opt-out rights described above.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice through the Service.
